Anthony Eviston
Chair
In December of 2019 Tony retired as Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Bathurst, after 30 years serving the Diocese in various roles including financial administration and pastoral care services. Tony has served in a variety of governance roles for not- for- profit organisations, including 10 years with Lifeline Australia, as Chair and Deputy Chair. He has also served in various roles with Lifeline Central West, The Neighbourhood Centre, Bathurst, Josephite Foundation and Mary McKillop Today and was appointment as a Commissioner for the NSW Catholic Commission for Employment Relations. These activities have developed Tony’s understanding of the important role that governance plays in service organisations and their contribution to the quality of the community in which we live. In 2015, Tony was named a Bathurst Living Legend.
Lyn Chapman
Secretary
Lyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and a Postgraduate qualification in Organisational Training and Development, with a career spanning health, education, and community development. She has served as Regional Worker for the federally funded Regional Volunteer Resource Program in Central West NSW, Program Manager for the NSW Central West Division of General Practice leading initiatives in Mental Health, Aboriginal Health, and Medicare, Director of Boarding at St. Joseph’s College, and Owner/ Director of Chapman Hines Consulting, working across health, education, disability, and sport. She is currently Secretary of the Bathurst Neighbourhood Centre Board, President of CWA Bathurst, Vice President of the CWA Central Western Group, and a member of the Bathurst Rural Clinical School Community Reference Group. As a Board Member of Vivability, she combines governance with hands-on involvement, having cooked weekly with clients in the Living Skills program for more than ten years, reflecting her strong commitment to inclusion and community.
Brendon Cutmore
Brendon is a proud Kamilaroi and Yorta Yorta man. He contributes to several community-based and statewide organisations as a board and committee member, advocating for the needs of Aboriginal people and more broadly for improvements in health and wellbeing for regional communities. Brendon has been part of the NSW Health - Regional Health Division since its beginning in 2022, drawing on many years of experience in the health sector. His previous roles at Western NSW Local Health District, including serving as Executive Director of Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing, have helped shape his understanding of the unique needs of regional communities. Brendon is committed to supporting improved health outcomes across New South Wales through collaboration, strong local partnerships, and practical solutions. He leads a team focused on issues management, reporting, communications, and engagement, working closely with others to identify barriers and opportunities using health, social, and economic data.
Maria Smith
Maria brings a solution-focused problem-solving approach to Vivability, along with experience and interest in clinical governance and service delivery with quality and accountability as key elements. She has worked in government and non-government sectors, across a wide range of service delivery, for more than 30 years. Maria is keen to make a positive difference in her broader community and to be part of building something of value for people with a disability.
Timothy Parnell
Treasurer
Tim is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience in Australia and the USA. His career includes senior roles such as Chief Financial Officer of an ASX-listed company, financial planner with a CBA subsidiary, and positions at Westpac. He is also an accredited agent for HMRC, a specialist in ATO Research and Development tax incentives, and has mentored over 20 Chartered Accountants throughout his career.
Alongside his professional achievements, Tim has a strong commitment to community service. He was the founding director of St Stanislaus’ College Ltd and chaired its Audit & Finance Committee for 16 years. He also chaired the St Michael & St John’s Cathedral Parish Council and continues to serve on its Finance Committee. He has also consulted with the Western Research Institute to support economic research for regional Australia.
As Treasurer of Vivability, Tim combines his financial expertise with his dedication to community development, ensuring strong governance and supporting the organisation’s growth and long-term sustainability.
Kelli Ennever
Kelli is an experienced legal professional and Director at McIntosh McPhillamy & Co, specialising in business law, commercial disputes and litigation, and property law. Kelli’s combination of legal acumen and community-driven vision brings a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to the Board with the goal of fostering partnerships, strengthening governance, and promoting positive change within the organisation and the broader community.
David Browning
David began his career in the disability sector. He then moved into education, teaching Physical Education across schools in the Central West, promoting health, wellbeing, and teamwork while building a reputation as a strong leader.
Following his career in education, David transitioned into small business, successfully establishing and managing several enterprises in Bathurst. This work has strengthened his expertise in governance and business management, providing him with a practical understanding of how to build sustainable organisations.
Across disability services, education, and business, David has consistently demonstrated a commitment to leadership, community wellbeing, and innovation. He brings to the board a unique blend of practical experience and strategic insight.
