Programs equip individuals to respond to life’s challenges and be active members of the community.

As a leader in the disability sector Vivability strives to provide the best services available to our clients. To enable us to do this we have developed the organisation to ensure we are able to provide services that are unique, flexible and guided  by sound clinical practice.

With the privatisation of the disability sector in NSW it became evident that there would be significant gaps in regards to specialist services within the sector. Vivability is committed to being recognised as a “go to” well - resourced organisation in regards to specialist services. These service include therapy and a Behavioural Intervention Teams which guide clinical practice. Our services are available to individuals as well as other organisations.

Vivability is committed to broader sector development and is working to train and provide our staff with the opportunity to achieve nationally recognised qualifications. We believe that this makes a significant contribution to developing a skilled workforce. We believe that strong advocacy should be apart of our service for each client.

There has been significant changes in the disability sector since the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme(NDIS). Previously Vivability was funded by the NSW State Government Department FACS via a grant system. The shift to the NDIS has meant that individuals with disability are funded directly based on their needs for services. Clients choose their own service providers to buy services from. This has created a highly competitive environment within the disability sector.

The model of support is person centred that is, the person with disability is at the centre of decision making. This involves Identifying the individual’s personal goals and putting in place the actions and supports that are required to meet those goals.

Vivability believes in the need for constant improvement and to this end we have developed a constant improvement plan which is reviewed and updated monthly to ensure that we are meeting our client and business related goals.
